Proposing to abolish excise tax for motorbike

 

Taxation always takes a lot attention of both domestic and foreign investors, ANT Lawyers will update the new changes, provisions in tax issue.

According to Honda Vietnam – the brand holds most market share, in 2012, the amount of motorbike consumption decrease eventually within this decade, reaches only 3.1 million units, decreases 7% compared to 2011.As many experts, the excise tax at 20% for 125 cc and more motorbikes makes many pressure to manufacturers, so they have proposed to abolish the excise tax for motorbikes.

While about car industry, there are currently 20 enterprises with over 40 brands, the total growth rate doesn’t achieve an optimistic figure. The amount of 2013 is about 100.000 units, in which 80% are exported components for domestic processing, the real capacity just hold 20% the total amount.

It’s also proposed that the Government needs to stabilize, unify in policies in order to attract consumers and investors, avoid the information interference, especially about taxation.
