Official Letter 626/BCT-XNK dated January 22nd of the Ministry of Industry and Trade guiding the procedures to temporary import for re-export a number of goods
From January 22nd 2013, alcohol imports to Vietnam after September 29th 2012 will be carried out procedure to temporary import for re-export as before when the Directive 23/CT-TTg of the Ministry of Industry and Trade has not given instructions.
These above guidelines are applied to the shipment of goods in the group that have special consumption tax (wine, beer, cigarettes, cigars) and used goods (not on the list of banned goods or goods that suspended for import for re-export, cross borders, goods kept in bonded warehouse).
Accordingly regulations about the time duration the goods are stored in Vietnam is of less than 45 days; extended only once for no more than 15 days will not apply to the temporary import for re-export of the two aforementioned goods.
Official Letter takes effect from the date of issuance.
