Circular 230/2012/TTLT-BTC-BGTVT on December 2012 of the Ministry of Transportation guiding on the management, use, payment and settlement of the Road Maintenance Fund

After the deduction of expenditures for the fee collecting organizations, the amount of road maintenance fees will be distributed to the central and local Road Maintenance Fund with rate of 65% and 35% approximately.

For fees collected from motor vehicles, after deducting the expenditures for the organization, the remaining will be submitted to the local fund.

Circular also stipulates the detailed contents of the Road Maintenance Fund as: Regular maintenance expenditures; extraordinary repairs; Expenses for management of road works.

Circular takes effect from January 1st 2013.
