Vietnam Tightening the Transportation of Hazardous Chemicals

The law as per Circular 44/2012/TT-BCT of the Ministry of Industrial and Trade is tightening the transportation of hazardous chemicals in Vietnam.

The list of hazardous chemicals that need special packaging and shipping are regulated to more than 200 types, four times higher than before.

The circular also updates the new standards on the packaging of this commodity.

In addition, Circular also specifies dossier, order and procedure for granting the certificate for technical training for safe transport of dangerous industrial goods and emergency plan when there is mishaps during the transportation of the goods.
