Decree 11/2013/ND-CP on the management, investment and development of urban

The project to build new urban area with the use of land from 100 hectares or more or project within the administrative boundaries of two or more provinces, area that is of significant importance in terms of security and defense must be approved by the Prime Minister.

Under the previous regulations, the project to build new urban area with the use of land from 200 hectares or more must be submitted to the Prime Minister for consideration and approving investment.

New urban area projects with scale of land use from 20 ha to 100 ha had to get permission from the provincial People’s Committee.

The above regulation stipulated in Decree 11/2013/ND-CP will take effect from March 1st 2013 and replace Decree 02/2006/ND-CP.
