Decision 04/2013/QD-TTg of the Prime Minister to strengthen punishing the polluted businesses

From March 1st 2013, the local Departments of Natural Resources and Environment are responsible to compile the categories and measures to deal with polluted businesses to submit for the Chairman of the People’s committee to sign.

This provision will help clarify the responsibilities of the local authories in dealing with the polution matters.

Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment is responsible for the inspection of the compilation of the list.

Besides, for important and special cases in regard to hospitals, solid waste landfills, industrial and export processing zones, the responsibilty to review the list and remedial measures will lie at the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment.

The above contents are stipulated in Decision 04/2013/QD-TTg dated January 14th 2013.
